St Nick’s Vestry minutes for 12/6/2009

11:50- Called to order, Astrid opened with prayer

Those present: Troy, Astrid, Edie, Howie, Dale, Vicki, Larry, Lithgow - review of minutes for Nov 2009 meeting, motion to approve- Larry, 2nd Lithgow, approved by all. -

Old business, Roof is finished, documentation of final cost with Michael Rebic. Article on roof in Southern Dutchess News, article for Michael Rebic for success story. Final cost for roof, any $ left over to go furnace discussed. Invitation for roof party scheduled for Jan,31st to go to Michael Rebic and Bishop.

- Annual Meeting scheduled for Jan 24th. Vestry meeting Jan 10th.

- Incoming vestry members, Warden- Dianne Levitt, Angelo Giano, George Gemmoth.

- Discussion of restructuring of bylaws to include Sr & Jr Wardens and responsibility of Peoples Warden.

- Motion to accept new vestry members by Vicki, 2nd by Lithgow. Motioned passed all in favor.

- Discussion of status of new furnace by Paul Conrad. See written report as submitted.

- Update on pledges, 44 total of $57,360 as of 12/6/2009.

- Update of finance report and budget for 2010 to be revised for Jan vestry meeting.

- Discussion of counters for collections, 2 people per week and discussion of process. 2 counters to be used per week to be made up of vestry members.

- discussion of Parsonage Allowance report to IRS for Astrid. Resolution acknowledged by vestry.

- Discussion for space for service, Pew racks, coat racks, 2nd service, move people to front pews. Possible early service at 9:00am with no music short service.

- Wardens report, Troy working with accountant to set up Servant Keeper and Quick books for finance report.

- Music report for Greg, $400 requested for June 2010 conference discussed, possible second collection and input for 2011 budget.

- Building Committee to meet to discuss storage for slates to be used for fund raiser. Condition of stove, possible donation of new one. Cupola to be installed with louvers and attic door for ventilation.
